PROJECT OVERVIEW:           

Following a successful tender for the recovery of redundant manufacturing equipment including tanks, reactors, blenders, shear mixers, vessels, heat exchangers and associated plant, DDE were appointed as preferred supplier. The works comprised selective dismantling of the existing structure, internal de-planting and demolition to release the assets, all of which were removed utilising multiple single & tandem lifts with heavy cranes. To ensure the equipment was securely lifted and transported from site, support frames and clamps were also fabricated and installed to secure moving parts.

PROJECT CONSTRAINTS: 

The works were undertaken within a live manufacturing facility with transport constraints and limited operational access. Oversized loads also required removal using public highways to the re-purposing yard in the North West.

KEY FACTS/ACHIEVEMENTS: 

DDE successfully delivered the project in a live manufacturing facility without any impact on live site operations. In excess of 167t of various grades of metals were removed with full transparency on weights and metallurgy offering best value to the client.
